ROLEPLAYER TIP: You should always be sure to save your applications in drafts before you submit them; especially if you write an in character sample or fill out portions of the app with really long answers. It’s really frustrating when you submit an app, and it ends up not going through, and you have to redo it all. So, the best way to solve this is just have it in your drafts so if anything were to happen, you always have a back up.

RPER TIP: Don’t send admins hate/show anger towards admins if they don’t accept you. As an admin, I know how difficult the accepting process is and how truly tough decisions can be. Yes, it’s understandable that not being accepted kinda sucks, but don’t blame the admin. All the admin is doing is simply weeding out the best apps possible. If you’re not accepted, that doesn’t necessarily mean your app was bad at all– it could’ve very well been awesome, but there was just someone who applied who happened to catch the admin’s eye more. Also, never pressure your friends into accepting you. Just apply for their rp and hope to get accepted– just because they’re you’re friend doesn’t give you a one way ticket into the rp. Do your best on your app and leave it at that– don’t get mad at the admin. I truly find it really ridiculous and honestly childish when I see anons on a rp page hating on them for who they accept; it’s very disrespectful and it can really hurt the admin’s feelings.

Admin tip: Don’t talk about your favorite ships on the main. Especially if you’re talking about the character you play and another character. Believe it or not, people join rps because of ships. Crazy, right? Well, they do. And if you and some anon are gushing over how cute your character and another character would be, then people will either turn away, or all your apps will be for the character you ship yours with. If an anon starts gushing over a couple characters, just say, “yeah, they’d be cute, but chemistry is overall, right?”. That way, people will see that you don’t care about fcs and all that, you care about the chem. Also, don’t just limit this rule to your character; don’t do it with other characters, either! If everyone’s flipping out over two characters you don’t play, and then someone wants to apply for one of them but doesn’t ship that ship, then they’ll feel forced to do that ship. In fact, one time, I wanted to apply for Justin Bieber in a rp – and the admin played Kendall Jenner, and continually fangirled over Jendall. It turned me off completely, since first of all I don’t ship Jendall, and second I’d rather go with chemistry. I decided not to apply because I didn’t wanna be forced into a ship. So, in conclusion, just don’t talk about ships on the main.

I hate when people are so thirsty in rps that it affects how they rp. Like, they’ll come online and only reblog a hot guy’s starter (e.g. Harry, Justin, etc.). Or, they’ll scroll in the deep just to find that one starter from one of those guys, but scroll past everyone else’s starter. Like, no. If you wanna reblog that person’s starter, that’s fine, but don’t ignore the other ones. At least take the time to reply to other starters as well. Honestly, it makes me literally roll my eyes when people only talk to the hot boy of the group. They’re not the only ones there. It’s okay to want your character have a relationship with them (because I’m not gonna lie here, I’d love for my character to get with a Zayn or Justin), but that doesn’t mean you forget about everyone else who’s there. Don’t become so focused on a ship that you don’t even include other members. 

I know that sometimes it’s difficult to think about what to write for your para. To help, I decided to just give everyone my method or technique or whatever. My friends always say I’m one of the fastest repliers they’ve ever met, because I have the ability to whip out a really long para in just an hour.
